The Marakihau Hood is a cosy wardrobe staple that tells the story of Kiwi surfer Kehu Butler's deep connection to the coast lines of Aotearoa.
Designed and developed by Kehu Butler and Tā Moko artist’s Maia Gibbs & Henare Brooking, the Marakihau graphic represents the human personification of a water spirit, traditionally recognised as an elemental guardian of the oceans and waterways.
